Plan a day on Mac with time boxes
A time box is not another to-do. It is a free stretch of calendar reserved for one piece of work.
In Void Calendar, press C to drop a thought into the Inbox. It is not an event yet, only something that still needs a time.
A to-do list grows because it does not occupy time. A time box answers a narrower question: which free stretch of today is for this piece of work.
Write it down, then decide when
An Inbox item can be as small as:
- Find 3 examples for the Friday talk
- Write up the plugin permissions
- Book a checkup
They wait there and do not take a slot on the calendar. When you plan the week, you choose which one deserves a real block of time.
Only free time counts
AI reads the events already on your calendar and places the task into a gap that is actually free. Existing events are not changed quietly.
A time box is not a to-do stuck onto the calendar. It is a free stretch of time reserved for finishing one thing.
Once placed, that block shows on the calendar. The menu bar shows the current time box, and you can start a focus timer from it. When you finish, the time you actually spent is written back to that time box, and the note stays attached to the same piece of work.
